First of all, I absolutely hate the ship name “Roschel” so I’m gonna replace it with my version of “RnR”.

This is my own opinion - I do like Ross and Rachel together, but the way the show portrays their relationship does not make me want to have a relationship like that. Who wants all that jealousy and constant bickering and breaking up just to get back together etc? The show does make you want to root for them to end up together, and I am glad they did, but I just don’t think they will last because the relationship is just so tiring.

On the other hand, Mondler’s relationship is not perfect, they have their own troubles as well. But they constantly work on their relationship and they talk things through to make it together as a team. And to me, that sounds a lot more appealing.

As far as things outside of the show are concerned… I do know that there used to be a David/Jen fandom-ish, but somehow I hardly see people who ship them irl nowadays. It’s probably because they don’t really get seen together. On the other hand, neither do Matteney, really. I mean it took 7 years (2006 - 2013) until we got new pics of them together.

So I am not sure why exactly there are more Matteney shippers out there, but I think you are absolutely right about the stuff you said in your last sentence. To me, they just click. And they only had that kind of chemistry on-screen because they work so well together off-screen. And that is what makes me mad about people who completely dislike the idea of Matteney together but do love Mondler.

There would be no Mondler (the way we see them now) if it hadn’t been for the way Courteney and Matthew work and act together.

And I know I am completely biased but I have never seen CC or MP have that kind of chemistry with other actors/actresses.

So yep, there is definitely something magical happening when these two are together. At least for me, and I think for some other people, too, otherwise you wouldn’t see that “many” Matteney shippers out there.

*What else I do find interesting is that there are thousands of people out there who might not ship Matteney the way I do, but always mention how incredibly cute they look together and how they wish they would be together as soon as new photos emerge etc (just look at the amount or RTs/favs their twitter photos from the Go On set got). Basically, the entire world ships Matteney. They just don’t think about it as much as I do. They see that chemistry and, click.
